how can i make the most out of my Crew experience?

Crew is about building a group of friends that you love and trust. It’s a journey that takes time, and so we encourage you to attend a number of events and keep meeting new people. At each event, you’ll probably meet a handful of people who you really click with, and so over the course of a few events, you will start to build your own Crew.

What kind of people do we look for?

Crew is not elite or exclusive; it is a community of great people who are looking to meet other great people. We value authenticity, diversity, warmth, kindness, and openness. That said, just be yourself in your application!

i applied a while ago and haven’t received an acceptance. does that mean i’ve been rejected?

No! Although we’d love to get to everyone’s application immediately, we have a long list of applications that take time to review. We promise we will notify you of our decision.

Two tips if you haven’t heard back yet:

1) Check your email. You might have missed an email acceptance from us.

2) Make sure you’ve submitted your video in addition to your written application, as we don’t review applications that don’t have a video portion.

What are you doing to foster a diverse and inclusive community?

We actively prioritize diverse applicants, and we are intentional about setting an open, honest, and inclusive tone at all of our events.

do i have to attend the events within my ‘age group’?

No! We split our events into age groups because we realize you may want to meet people who are at a similar age and stage, but if it’s not important to you, you are welcome to attend any event you choose.

The video application seems kind of scary - any tips?

We realize the video application may seem a little intimidating, but we promise it is not intended to be stressful at all. All we want is to “meet” you and see what it’s like to chat to you, so don’t worry about doing anything fancy or preparing.

Pro tip: we know it can be a little weird to film a selfie video, so we recommend covering your screen while you’re filming and pretending you’re talking to someone in person.

Can i bring a +1?

Yes! We trust your friends are awesome, and we’d love to meet them. If you’d like to bring a friend to a Crew event, please make sure to book 2 places at the event, and to submit 2 separate bios for both of you.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend an event?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds. Places at our events are limited and are in high demand, and so we have this policy in order to discourage people from signing up for an event that they are not committed to attending and taking a place from someone else who would like to attend.
